The Soprano Shiraz Wine

VINIFICATION: The grapes are hand- picked, and bunches and berries are individually sorted to ensure only the best quality fruit is reserved for this wine. Fermentation takes place in small, open stainless steel tanks and the wine is then matured in small French and American oak barrels for about 18 months before blending and bottling. The bottled wine is given a further six months' rounding off before release.

TASTING NOTE: A deep red wine with ripe, red fruits and milled pepper on the nose, followed by black berries and spices on the palate. The finish gives hints of dark chocolate.

FOOD: This wine is highly recommended with grilled, richly flavoured red meat, game (venison) and beef stew.
